He took American Library Association Notable Book Awards in 1975 and 1980 and the New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Book Award in 1984 for \u003cem\u003eBabushka\u003c\/em\u003e. Barbara K. Walker was a folklorist who, with Warren S. Walker and Ahmet E.
