One of 225 numbered copies on Ragston (this copy #86), with a deluxe issue on Umbria handmade paper bound and signed separately. Full peach cloth with a lettered paper label to the spine; in the publisher's brown board slipcase. Several tipped-in sepia reproductions of early photographs of Una and Robinson. Fine in a fine slipcase.
Fifty-seven letters between Una Call Kuster and Robinson Jeffers, written between 1910 and 1913 — the years of their courtship in Los Angeles, the dissolution of Una's first marriage to the attorney Edward Kuster, and the difficult interval before they could marry and move north to Carmel. The Ragston edition has long been out of print, and copies in fine condition with the slipcase intact are uncommon.
