A genuinely scarce object; no other copies were traced at the time of cataloguing. Of real interest to collectors of California private-press and amateur printing. Small oblong volume, 21 leaves. Color relief illustrations. Stiff salmon wrappers with red lettering, brown plastic comb binding.
An unusual collaborative private-press production: twenty-one leaves of comic limericks, each leaf hand-set and printed by one of the member presses of the Small Press Club of Marin County, gathered into a single volume. Sixteen amateur presses contributed — among them Piping Rock, Sunflower, Frog Prints, Peanut Buddha, Shoestring, Pine Hill, Ampersand, Paradox, Narcissus, Nether-stoned, Figment, Trykkeri, Plant, Gladsome, Olson, and Athena — several printing more than one leaf, so that the book functions as a typographic specimen book of a 1970s Bay Area private-press circle: a survey of types, presswork, and design taste gathered between two covers.
